Meet Dr. Nancy Leung
It gives me great satisfaction to be a part of my patient’s lives. I am intrigued by what orthodontics can do to improve someone’s life by a beautiful and healthy smile. My mission is to straighten teeth, improve facial esthetics, and promote oral health. We take pride in our work, use the highest quality appliances, and advanced technology to give you the perfect smile. I strive to give every patient customized care and high quality orthodontic treatment. I am devoted to the environment by using digital x-rays that emit very low radiation compared to conventional x-rays, digital study models, digital photography, and chartless computer system. We use recycled paper and recycle as much as possible. However, we do not recycle anything on our patients. Our brackets are individually packaged so our patients know they are brand new.
Education and Experience
In order to become an orthodontist, I received my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Southern California (USC). Upon entering dental school, I was awarded the Dr.& Mrs. JA Slaughter Endowed Scholarship, a four-year academic scholarship. I finished at the top of my class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and received their prestigious Robert Wallins Memorial Scholarship. I received my specialty training in Orthodontics while attending the Masters Program at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.
I am committed to continue learning in orthodontics to give my patients the best experience. In order to give my patients the best and latest technology, I continue my education by attending courses, seminars, and study clubs. I am also an active member of several professional organizations:

Outside the office
My husband, Julius, and I have two beautiful and active boys, Brent and Brandon. I enjoy cooking for my family and friends, playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with my boys.
Orthodontics is a wonderful profession where I can give back to the community in many ways. I am a member of the Aptos Chamber of Commerce, Affinity Program, Give Kids a Smile, and Smile Change Lives. In 2010, I was awarded Dentist of Year by the Monterey Bay Dental Society. I am very happy to be a part of the community and to help low-income children. This past school year, I was at local schools in the area teaching children the importance of oral health.
